A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Secretariat and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on organizing workshops on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for the members of parliament and JS officials.
The MoU was signed when a delegation, led by UNDP Bureau of Policy and Programme Support Team leader Charles Chauvel, met JS Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury on Sunday at her office at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban here, said a press release.
Senior Secretary of the JS Secretariat Dr Zafar Ahmed Khan and UNDP Bangladesh Resident Representative Sudipto Mukerjee signed the MoU on behalf of their respective sides.
Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin said Bangladesh is now working to achieve the SDGs.
The speaker focused on organizing workshops on climate change, SDGs and information and communication technology.
