Awami League (AL) Joint Secretary General Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif, MP, said the 11th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) will be more effective and vibrant as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had taken the country on to the highway of development.
“Parliament will be more functional through constructive criticism and debate,” he told newsmen on Thursday in the JS lobby after taking oath as a lawmaker.
Hanif said the 10thn parliament was dynamic and effective as opposition members belonging to Jatiya Party joined discussions and raised their voice maintaining parliamentary norms.
Replying to a question, he said the Jatiya Party members could play a constructive role in parliament if they become the opposition party.
He said the Oikya Front candidates should take oath and join parliament to honour people’s mandate.
