The fifth meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs of the 11th Parliament was held in the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban here. Chairman of the committee Shajahan Khan chaired the meeting held recently. The committee members – Liberation Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque, Rajiuddin Ahmed, Moin Uddin Khan Badal, Kazi Firoz Rashid and Waresat Hussain Belal attended the meeting, said a press release. The Committee, in the meeting, has decided to sit with the developers concerned to discuss about the progress of the ongoing projects including the “Tower-71”, 29-storey commercial buildings along with 4 basements at Agrabad in Chattogram which are under Muktijoddha Kalyan Trust’s purview. The committee recommended adopting pragmatic plans for the proper utilization of the places behind the Gulistan and Diploma Engineers’ Institution in the capital.
They also had a discussion over taking action to recover outstanding arrears of Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra. Besides, the committee decided to hold a special meeting with the people, using land owned by Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra on July 07, 2019.
Secretary of the Liberation War Affairs Ministry and other officials concerned were present at the meeting.
