JS committee for legal action against people involved in financial anomalies

The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Primary and Mass Education has recommended legal action against those, after identifying them, involved in financial irregularities and setting up of Ananada School being run under Reaching Out-of-School Children (ROSC) programme funded by the World Bank for the under privileged children. The recommendation came in the 14th meeting of the standing committee held at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban on Tuesday.
The committee also discussed ROSC programme in details, said an official handout of the Sangsad Bhaban.
With Committee Chairman M Motahar Hossain in the chair, the meeting was participated by committee members Minister for Primary and Mass Education Mostafizur Rahman, AKM Jahangir Hossain, Shamsul Haq Chowdhury, M Abul Quashem, Ali Azam, Mohammad Illias and Ummeh Razia Kazal.
The committee also recommended for creation of the post of Headmaster after recognizing the primary schools in the country where the posts are yet to be created.
High officials of the Jatiya Sangsad secretariat including Primary and Mass Education Secretary were also presented.
The program Reaching Out-of-School Children (ROSC) was initiated in 2008 by the government through the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, co-funded by the World Bank with a view to reduce the number of out-of-school children.
