JS body suggests continuing anti-adulteration drives

The 5th meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Food was held on Thursday at the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban.
Chairman of the committee Dipankar Talukder presided over the meeting, said an official press release.
Committee members Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder, Nurul Islam Nahid, Haji Md Salim, Md Atiur Rahman Atik, Dhirendra Debnath Shambhu, Md Abdul Hai, Md Ayen Uddin and Anjum Sultana attended the meeting.
The parliamentary watchdog recommended the ministry to keep conducting the anti-adulteration drive in the country.
The meeting discussed the implementation progress of the decisions taken in the previous meetings, added the release.
During the meeting, the work-report of the 5th meeting was granted unanimously by the committee.
Officials concerned, including the food secretary, were present at the meeting.
