JS body recommends re-verification of pry teachers in hilly areas

The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Education has recommended re-verification of the list of primary school teachers run by UNDP’s Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Facility in the hilly areas.
The recommendation was made in the 18th meeting of the committee held on Wednesday at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban under the chairmanship of the committee president Mostafizur Rahman, said a press release.
The committee also recommended speedy publication of primary teachers’ gazettes and the continuation of payment of salaries and allowances.
The committee recommended taking necessary measures by investigating the baseless rumors being circulated about Ananda School’s recruitment program, the release added, reports BSS.
The committee also recommended taking necessary measures after verifying the feasibility of constructing the primary school building.
 The meeting was attended by the committee members-Shirin Akhter, Md Joaherul Islam and Ferdousi Islam, senior secretary of the Ministry, and the relevant senior officials of the Ministry and National Parliament Secretariat.
