The 8th meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Commerce Ministry was held at the Jatiya Sangsad (JS).
Bhaban with Committee Chairman Tofail Ahmed in the chair. Committee members – Yussuf Abdullah Harun, Hasan Imam Khan and Selim Altaf Gorge were present at the meeting held on Wednesday, said a press release. The committee discussed in detail about submission of a report after examining the Bangladesh Tariff Commission (amendment) Bill, 2019, it added. It also recommended on submitting a report to parliament bringing necessary amendment of Bangladesh Tariff Commission Act, 1992. The planning secretary, chairman of Bangladesh Tariff Commission and other officials concerned were present.
