The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Public Accounts has recommended settlement of 212 audit objections included in the report of Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) involving a total of Tk 222.37 crore and US$ 9903.
The committee made the recommendation in its 75th meeting held at the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban here on the twenty first instant with its chairman Dr Mohiuddin Khan Alamgir in the chair, said an official release.
It also discussed special objections included in the CAG’s special audit report on the collection of Medical and Surgical Requisites (MSR) during fiscal years 2007-08 and 2009-10 under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and recommended settlement of 10 objections.
Committee members AKM Maidul Islam, M Shamsul Haq Tuku,Mohammad Amanullah, Panchanan Biswas, Md Rustom Ali Farazi, AFM Rahul Haque, Md Afsarul Amin, Rebecca Momin and Wasika Ayesha Khan attended the meeting.
