Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs on Sunday recommended taking necessary steps to determine causes of harassments, insult faced by justice-seekers in courts and resolve those.
It also proposed overhauling the judicial process to resolve alternative dispute.
The committee came up with recommendations at its 43rd meeting held at Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban, with Abdul Matin Khasru, MP, in the chair.
Law Minister Anisul Huq, Md Shamsul Haque Tuku, Adv Md Ziaul Haque Mridha, Sofura Begum and Amatul Kibria Keya Chowdhury attended the meeting, among others. Deputy attorney general Advocate Md Ekramul Haque attended the meeting on special invitation.
