The Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Home Ministry recommended taking necessary measures to evict illegal structures set up along rail lines.
The recommendation was made at the 5th meeting of the committee held on Wednesday in Parliament Bhaban with Chairman M Shamsul Haque Tuku in the chair.
Committee members Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, M Afsarul Amin, M Habibir Rahman, Shamsul Alam Dudu, Kujendra Lal Tripura, Peer Fazlur Rahman and Sultan Mohammad Mansur Ahmed attended the meeting.
The committee was informed that Department of Narcotics Control took a project of Dope Test for Drug Addicts Identification for implementation.
About the dope test project, it also informed that if the project is implemented, dope test will be mandatory when entering the government service.
Later, the committee advised the ministry to continue the dope test properly.
The meeting also discussed on the activities of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Party (VDP) and recommended for including Battalion Ansar in the department of narcotics control.
High officials of the Public Security Division, Security Service Division and Jatiya Sangsad were present in the meeting.
