BSS, Dhaka :
The parliamentary committee on public undertaking recommended releasing necessary funds for the river bank protection project at Naria upazila in Shariatpur district.
The committee made the recommendation at a meeting held on Tuesday at the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban with committee chairman Shawkat Ali in the chair.
Committee members Abdur Rauf and Advocate Navana Aktar attended the meeting.
The JS body held discussions on the overall activities of Bangladesh Forest Industries Development Corporation and Eastern Wood Works.
Senior officials concerned were present at the meeting.
