JS body for reaching new books at school level before Dec 27

Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education recommended reaching new books to all schools before December 27 this year.
The parliamentary watchdog came up with the recommendation at its 10th meeting held recently at Sangsad Bhaban here with committee chairman Mustafizur Rahman in the chair, a press release said.
Committee members-State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Md Zakir Hosain, Meher Afroz, Nazrul Islam Babu, Shirin Akhter, Ferdousi Islam and Kazi Monirul Islam – participated in the meeting.
At the onset of the meeting, the participants paid respect to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family members, who were assassinated in 1975, four national leaders and the martyrs who sacrificed their life during the 1971 Liberation War.
The committee also recommended sending a summary to the Prime Minister’s Office on whether priority can be given to students, teachers and staff of primary and secondary school in giving Covid-19 vaccines.
It suggested formation of an education engineering cell under the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education.
