BSS, Dhaka :
In a bid to revamp the country’s tourism sector, the government has devised plans to present the country’s cultural heritage before the world to attract more foreign tourists to visit Bangladesh.
This was discussed in the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Culture Affairs Ministry at its sixth meeting held on Thursday at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban here with committee Chairman Simin Hossain (Rimi) in the chair.
The Cultural Affairs Ministry along with the Tourism Corporation are working to present country’s cultural heritage properly before the world, the JS committee said.
Side by side, the government is also going to enact the Archeological Preservation Policy. Necessary steps have been taken to appoint skilled manpower to this end, according to a parliament release.
