The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Primary and Mass Education on Tuesday formed a three-member sub-committee to oversee the activities of printing and binding of pre-primary and primary textbooks for the next year.
The meeting also asked all concerned to inspect the printing presses, said an official release.
The three-member sub-committee is headed by Mohammad Nazrul Islam Babu as the convener while the other two members are: Mohammad Abul Kalam and Mohammad Ellias.
The recommendation came at the 30th meeting of the committee held at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban. Chairman of the committee Mohammad Motahar Hossain presided over the meeting,
The meeting also recommended monitoring the teaching programs formulated under government policy to ensure quality education in all government and private schools.
Committee members Primary and Mass Education Minister Mustafizur Rahman, Samshul Haque Chowdhury, Mohammad Abdur Rahman, Mohammad Nazrul Islam Babu, Mohammad Abul Kalam, Mohammad Elias and Ummey Rajia Kajal, acting secretary of the ministry and high officials of concerned ministry were also present in the meeting.
