Parliamentary Standing Committee on Estimates asked the Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Ministry to gear up its monitoring system of the under construction projects at district-level technical training centers.
It also asked the ministry to finish the ongoing project works within stipulated time, said a parliamentary secretariat release.
The committee asked the concerned ministry to submit its revised report’s copy on RAJUK Purbachal Project, Water Plan, Sewerage System and eviction of illegal occupants and also report back to the next committee meeting.
The 25th meeting of the committee was held on Thursday with its Chairman Noor-E-Alam Chowdhury in the chair.
Committee members: AKM Zahangir Hossain, Captain A B Tajul Islam (Retd) and Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh attended the meeting. Besides, secretaries concerned of three ministries, RAJUK chairman and senior officials were also present.
The committee suggested for taking necessary steps to enhance the capacity of railways and ensuring quality service with appointing skilled manpower.
The meeting also discussed the issues of expatriate overseas employment, railways ministry and RAJUK Purbachal project.
