JS body for intensifying operations against adulterated products

Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Commerce in a meeting recommended intensifying operations against adulterated products and faulty weighing machine to protect the rights of consumers.
Committee Chairman Md Tajul Islam Chowdhury presided over the meeting held on the fourteenth instant while committee members Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed, Enamul Haque, Waresat Hossain Belal, Md Sanowar Hossain and Laila Arjuman Banu attended it, said a press release.
The meeting was informed that out of a total 2,861 TCB dealers, 1,345 dealers have been appointed as per the recommendation of ministers, state ministers and MPs.

The rest 1,471 dealers have been appointed after scrutinizing all related information through the deputy commissioners concerned.
It was also informed that 43 organizations from 17 countries are participating in this year’s Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF).
