The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Public Administration recommended extension of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) visa sticker duration from existing one year to five years for Parliament Members (MPs).
“At a meeting held recently, the committee urged the Public Administration Ministry to extend the validity of SAARC visa stickers up to five years for MPs,” a parliament secretariat statement said.
The meeting, it said, also recommended accelerating the process of merging the BCS (Economic) cadre with BCS (Admin).
This was the 3rd meeting of the committee presided over by the committee’s chairman H N Ashikur Rahman at Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban.
