The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Commerce Ministry suggested creating posts of economic minister in Bangladeshi missions in China, Japan and India. Discussing the commercial wings of Bangladesh’s oversees missions, the committee made the recommendation on Thursday at its 10th meeting, held at the Jatiya Sangsad with committee chairman Tajul Islam Choudhury in the chair.
Committee members Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed, Motahar Hossain, Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun, Waresat Hussain Belal, Sanowar Hossain, Manzurul Islam Liton and Liala Arjuman Banu attended the meeting, said a Parliament Secretariat handout.
