The Parliamentary Committee on Public Undertakings on Saturday recommended the government to take measures to develop grasslands for cows in southern region of the country.
It also suggested engagement of ICT Division in developing any software for Milk Vita, a state brand milk-producing company.
The recommendations came from the 7th meeting of the committee, held at Milk Vita Rest House in Shahjadpur, Sirajganj, said a parliament secretariat handout.
The meeting asked the authorities concerned to take divisional action if any staff of Milk Vita is engaged in corruption.
The parliamentary watchdog recommended bringing further dynamism in the activities of Bangladesh Milk Producers’ Cooperative Union Limited (Milk Vita).
Presided over by chairman of the committee ASM Feroz, the meeting was attended by its members Ismat Ara Sadique and Mohibur Rahman Manik.
The Rural Development and Cooperatives Division Secretary, Director General of the Cooperatives Department, Milk Vita Chairman and its Managing Director were also present.
