The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Social Welfare Ministry on Sunday suggested authorities concerned to consider receiving applications round-the-year instead of one-time, and allocate cash for stroke and heart attack patients.
The parliamentary body also recommended providing financial assistance to stroke and heart attack patients along with kidney, lever and cancer patients. Currently, the social welfare ministry allocates Taka 50,000 for each patient, an official release said here.
