JS body for action against women, children torture

The parliamentary standing committee on Women and Children Affairs Ministry yesterday recommended necessary measures to take punitive actions against torturers of women and children.
The meeting was held at Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban in the city with its president Rebeka Momin presiding. Among others, committee members, Mahbub Ara Gini, Monwara Begum and Rifat Amin were present at the meeting.
In its 16th meeting the body also suggested the concerned ministry to appoint women magistrate and judge to ensure justice to the women and children victims of rape and inhuman torture.
