The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Religious Affairs Ministry on Monday finalised separate reports of two bills.
The committee discussed the ‘Buddhist Religious Welfare Trust Bill, 2018’ and the ‘Christian Religious Welfare Trust Bill, 2018’ in details and recommended placing the bills to parliament with necessary amendments.
The parliamentary body came up the recommendation at its 34th meeting held at Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban with its chairman Bazlul Haque Haroon in the chair.
Religious Affairs Minister principal Motiur Rahman, committee members M Aslamul Haque, AKMA Awal (Saidur Rahman), M Makbul Hossain, Mohammad Amir
Hossain and Begum Dilara Begum, and Religious Affairs secretary Anisur Rahman were, among others, present at the meeting.
