The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Religious Affairs Ministry discussed about the ‘Pre-arrival Immigration’ of the aspirant Hajj pilgrims who are going to perform the holy Hajj this year.
The committee at its 11th meeting held at the JS Bhaban on Thursday was informed that the Pre-arrival Immigration of Hajj pilgrims who want to go to Saudi Arabia via Dhaka will be completed in Dhaka, a press release said.
With committee chairman Md. Hafiz Ruhul Amin Madani in the chair, the meeting was attended by State Minister for Religious Affairs Md Faridul Haque Khan, Shawkat Hasanur Rahman (Rimon), Md. Elias Uddin Mollah, Jinnatul Bakia, Tahmina Begum and Ratna Ahmed, reports BSS.
The meeting discussed the latest progress of the upcoming Hajj-2022.
The meeting had an elaborate discussion on the issues of expediting the construction works of model mosques across the country, making air fares between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia tolerable and not involving anti-liberation forces in the upcoming Hajj.
Besides, nationalization of Ebtedayee Madrasah across the country also came up in the discussion.
The meeting was also attended by the Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, senior officials of the ministry and senior officials of the parliament secretariat.
