The parliamentary standing committee on the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs on Wednesday recommended continuing the publication of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s achievement at home and abroad for playing a vital role to empower the women.
The committee in its 23rd meeting at Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban held here.
Chairman of the committee Begum Rebecca Momin presided over the meeting while committee members State Minister for Women and Children Affairs Meher Afroze Chumki, M Mozammel Hossain, Monowara Begum and Rifat Amin attended the meeting.
The meeting also gave various recommendations including establishment of cell in all district towns to prevent violence against women and forming day care policy.
Secretary of the ministry Nasima Begum and concerned officials of the parliament secretariat were also present.
