The parliamentary standing committee on Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) on Wednesday held a discussion on the ministry’s ongoing development projects and activities of the NGOs in the CHT districts.
The committee in its 12th meeting at the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban held the discussion with its President Obaidul Muktadir Chowdhury, MP, in the chair.
Among others, committee members, state minister of Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts, Bir Bahadur Uhswe Sing, MP, M Abdul Latif and MA Awal, spoke on the occasion.
At the very beginning of the meeting, a condolence motion was taken at the death of Social Welfare Minister Syed Mohsin Ali and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
The committee also suggested the Public Service Commission (PSC) to take necessary measures to give financial benefits to two retired district medical officers.
