The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Ministry on Tuesday discussed unusual delay in disposing the sensational August 21, 2004 grenade attack cases.
The issue was discussed at the 16th meeting of the standing committee at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban with Committee Chairman Suranjit Sengupta in the chair.
Committee members M Tajul Islam Chowdhury, M Shamsul Haq Tuku, M. Abdul Majid Khan and Advocate Ziaul Haq Mridha attended the meeting.
The meeting also held discussions on the progress of making a report by the law ministry after examining two reports of Law Commission and a report of parliamentary committee on quick disposal of backlog of cases in courts across the country.
