The Parliamentary Standing Committee on the public accounts at its second meeting on Sunday asked the concerned ministry and the department to be more careful to ensure transparency and accountability in terms of expenditure of money in the public purchase. With committee chairman M Rustam Ali Farazi in the chair, the meeting was also attended, among others, by committee members Abul Kalam Azad, M Abdus Shahid, M Afsarul Amin, M Shahiduzzaman Sarker, Salman Fazlur Rahman, Abu Sayeed Al Mahmud Shawpan, Jahirul Haq Bhuiyan Mohon, Manjur Hossain, Ahsanul Islam Titu and Mustafa Lutfullah.
Even the committee also recommended for examines the market carefully and accurately for any kind of public purchase, according to an official release. The meeting held at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban discussed elaborately on eight audit objections of the ministry of health and its other subordinate organizations.
To disposal the audit report within quick possible time two committee comprising with officials of the health and family welfare ministry, department of health and C&AG were formed and the committee has been asked to submit its report within 7 days.
