Joyita`s Koto Modhusomirey launched

Koto Madhusomirey, a collection of Tagore songs rendered by Farhin Khan Joyita, was launched at the Chhayanaut Auditorium in the city’s Dhanmondi area recently.
Noted Tagore exponent and teacher Dr Sanjida Khatun unveiled cover of the album in the presence of Mita Haque, where the singer performed some of the numbers from her album. Produced by Bengal Foundation, the album comprises of some extraordinary Tagore numbers including Morey Barey Barey Pherale, Charandhwani Shuni Tobo, Prochondo Gorjone, and Sukhoheen Nishidin Poradhin. Luva Nahid Chowdhury, Director General of Bengal Foundation, coordinated the event. Musicians who performed alongside the singer in the event include Enamul Haq Omar on Tabla, Rooptanu on Keyboard, Asit Biswas on Esraj, and Pradip Roy on Mondira.
Daughter of renowned musician Mita Haque and actor-director Khaled Khan, Joyita grew up with the creative influence of her parents, and went on to combine that with her own musical talent, to create a new album. he product of almost two years of hard work and innovation, the album contains eight songs.
