Prime Minister’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Affairs Adviser Sajeeb Wazed Joy attached great importance to speedier internet services for taking the ongoing digitization process effectively to every doorstep
“Government is working relentlessly to build Digital Bangladesh and it will do all the things possible to attain the goal,” Joy said.
The Adviser came up with the observations on Thursday while paying a visit to the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology.
Prime Minister’s ICT affairs adviser held a meeting with top officials of the ministry at its conference room. Presided over by State-Minister Tarana Halim, the meeting was attended by secretary Md Faizur Rahman Chowdhury, additional secretary Mohammed Mahfuzur Rahman, among others.
“The presence of Illegal VoIP business has come down significantly but we are yet to get rid of it completely. I would like to seek help from all to eliminate this and make the telecommunications sector free of corruption,” he added.
On his arrival, Joy was welcomed by the ministry officials with bouquet. A video presentation on Digital Bangladesh was screened at the meeting.
