As part of the countrywide agitation programme called by Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ), Khulna journalists will hold rally today (January 28) in front of Khulna Press Club demanding the formation of ninth wage board.
On January 18, BFUJ leaders called the countrywide divisional agitation meeting after holding rallies and stage demonstrations in front of National Press Club.
Demanding declaration of ninth wage board for print, electronic and online media, the journalist leaders said programmes for a greater movement would be announced, if the ninth wage board is not formed by January 31.
BFUJ secretary general Omor Faruk, Treasurer Modhusudan Mandol, Vice-President Monotosh Basu, Joint secretary general Mozzammel Haque Howlader, President of Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ) Shaban Mahmud and President of Jessore Union of Journalists (JUJ) Sazed Rahman, among others, will attend the programme.
President of Khulna Union of Journalists (KUJ) S M Zahid Hossain will preside the meeting.
