Members of journalist community both from print and electronic media will stage demonstrations across the country today demanding immediate announcement of the 9th wage board.
On the occasion, all unions under Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) will bring out processions at 11am all over the country.
After the demonstration, they will hand over memorandums to the authorities concerned.
In Dhaka , the journalists will bring out agitating procession on Topkhana road and later hand over a memorandum to the Information Minister at his secretariat office.
Besides, the affiliated unions of BFUJ outside Dhaka will bring out the processions on the streets in their respective cities and towns and hand over memorandums to the divisional commissioners or deputy commissioners.
BFUJ Secretary General Omar Faruque requested all journalists of print and electronic media to participate in the programme in time.
