Jagadish Das Gupta, father of former joint-secretary of Chittagong Union of Journalists (CUJ) and Chittagong Bureau Chief of the Daily Sangbad Nirupom Das Gupta, died of old age complications early Tuesday.
He was 82, family sources said.
Jagadish, a retired government officer, left behind his wife, two sons, two daughters and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.
He was cremated at his village home at Sultanpur village under Raozan Upazila of the district last morning.
