Journo’s body found in Chuadanga

Police recovered the of a local journalist near a railway station in Chuadanga Sadar upazila on Wednesday.
Sadrul Alam Nipun, 40, was a reporter of Chuadanga-based newspaper daily Mathabhanga.
Victim’s younger brother Lipon said that some unidentified men called Nipun out of his Nilmaniganj house in the upazila on Thursday.
“Since then, Nipun remained missing,” Lipon said.
People found the victim body parts — cut into eleven pieces – scattered on the railway tracks near Mominpur Railway Station in Chuadanga Sadar upazila.
Police recovered the body from the spot, which is under Kushtia Government Railway Police (GRP) Station.
The body was sent to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital, said a sub-inspector (SI) of the police station.
Nazrul Islam, station master of the Mominpur Railway Station, lodged a case with Poradah Police Station in Kushtia in this connection.
Mohidul Alam Bokul, elder brother of the journalist told that Nipun had a rivalry with drug peddlers and railway land grabbers in Mominpur railway station.
