Two unidentified muggers snatched the bag from a journalist in the city’s Arambagh area on Sunday night.
The victim has been identified as Sheikh Arif Bulbon, Feature Editor, of The New Nation, police said.
Quoting the witnesses, Motijheel Police Station Officer-in-Charge (Investigation) Proloy Kumar said that two muggers riding on a motorcycle snatched the bag when
Bulbon was going to his residence by rickshaw in Rampura around 9:00pm.
The snatchers mugged the bag in front of the Arambagh Police Outpost, also a crowded area due to U-turn intersection of Motijheel-bound transports, the police official said.
They also snatched two vanity bags from two other separate rickshaw passengers like the filmy style, he said. A General Diary (GD) was filed with the police station in this connection, he said.
