A memorial meeting of Nilphamari District Correspondent, senior journalist of Bangladesh Television (BTV), Nurul Islam was held at Saidpur Press Club on Wednesday noon.
Sarwar Manik, former Principal of Nilphamari Mashiur Rahman College, discussed the life of the late Journalist Nurul Islam as chief guest. President of Saidpur Press Club Aminul Haque presided over the memorial meeting.
In the meeting conducted by Tofazzal Hossain Lutu, General Secretary of the Press Club, the speakers highlighted various aspects of the working life of Journalist Nurul Islam.
Earlier, a minute’s silence was observed while paying homage to the late Journalist Nurul Islam and wishing peace to his departed soul. Incidentally, Nurul Islam, a Senior Journalist of Nilphamari and District Correspondent of BTV, died on May 26 after a long illness.
