Ojifa Khatun, mother of Sports Editor of the Daily Ittefaq and senior member of Bangladesh Sports Journalists Association (BSJA) Motahar Hossain Masum, died at a city hospital on Wednesday. She was 76.
Ojifa, who was suffering from diabetes, kidney diseases and hypertension, breathed her last around 6:40 pm.
She left behind four sons and one daughter to mourn her death.
Ojifa will be buried at her village home in Parshuram upazila in Feni on Thursday morning.
Meanwhile, BSJA condoled the death of Ojifa Khatun and prayed for salvation of the departed soul.
