Journo Helal Humayun laid to rest

Md. Helal Humayun, an elderly journalist and Chittagong Bureau Chief of the Daily Nayadiganta, laid to eternal rest at his native village in Satkania upazila of the district on Monday evening .
He was buried following the third namaz-e-janaza after Asr prayers at his native village Talgaon of Choroti union in Satkania upazila.
Earlier, his first namaz-e-janaza was held at city’s Baitush Sharaf Madrasa premises at 10am while the second one was held at Chittagong Press Club (CPC) premises at 11am .
His body was kept at CPC premises where his colleagues paid last respect to him. Humayun, who was suffering from different complicated diseases, died at a city hospital on Sunday night at the age of 60.
He left behind wife, two sons, one daughter and a host of relatives, colleagues and well-wishers to mourn his death. Lawmaker Dr Abu Reza Nodwi of the respective constituency, leaders of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ, CPC, Chittagong Union of Journalists (CUJ).
 Chittagong Metropolitan Union of Journalists (CMUJ), Chittagong Television Journalists Association, Photo Journalists Association and Government Muslim High School Ex-Students Association , Hajj Pilgrims Welfare council condoled the death of the noted journo of the port city.
Mentionable that during his 35 years of journalism profession, he worked several dailies of the country as Bureau chief. The leaders of the organizations prayed for peace of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family members.
