Elderly journalist, former President of Chattogram Press club and Chattogram Union of journalists Ataul Hakim passes away at a city private hospital on Tuesday night(Innah…Rajeown).
He was admitted at CSCR Hospital at 9 pm on Tuesday in a critical condition where the attending doctors declared him dead.
Ataul Hakim rendered his service in Dainik Azadi for long time and lastly retired from Dainik Purbokone as Joint News Editor. He edited and published a number books and novels during his profession. He was 70.
He leaves one sone, one daughter and a number of relatives to mourn his death.
His first Janeza was held infront of Press club at 11 am yesterday and buried at his family graveyard after second Janeza at native village in Sultanpur under Raozan poursava .
