Wife of a journalist Jesmin Akhter was fall under attack of hijacker in a broad daylight at about 10.30 am yesterday in front of Jamal Khan PDB office under Kotwali thana.
Jesmin Akhter is the wife of Azad Talukder , a journalist of satellite TV channel-71.
Eye witnesses sources said, Jesmin Akhter came over Jamal Khan AG Church school to reach his son in the school and then she went to Kazir Dewri Bazar for shopping. While she was returning from Kazir Dewri in a rickshaw , a hijacker snatched away his gold chain from neck by obstructing the way infront of PDB office gate . Following the outcry of the victim, the locals turned over the spot and the hijacker quicky fled away through the nearby underground drain passage. Being informed, Kotwali thana police visited the spot instantly, sources said.
