Senior – Sub-Editor of Daily Purbakone, senior member of Chattogram Press Club and Chattogram Journalists Union (CUJ) SM Shoaib Khan is no more.
He died in the city’s CSCR Hospital at 7.45am yesterday .
He was 58 . The first Namaze Janaza of the deceased was held in front of Chattogram Press Club after Zohra prayer, said CUJ General Secretary Md. Shamsul Islam. He said journalist SM Shoaib Khan had been undergoing treatment at the hospital for the past two weeks. After the janaza, the body will be taken to Fatikchhari, at his native home.
SM Shoaib Khan was a student of the 16th batch of Public Administration Department of Chattogram University.
He has been involved in journalism since 1990. He hails from Babunagar of Fatikchhari upazila. He left his wife, a son and a daughter and large number of relatives and wellwishers to mourn his death.
