Nizam Uddin Ahmed, one of the founders of Nawapara Press Club died at the age of 70 on Sunday dawn (Inna lillahi …… raziun).
He died in massive cardiac arrest at his Baghutia based residence under Abhaynagar upazila in Jessore, said family sources.
The veteran journalist is survived by wife, three sons and a daughter. He was buried at Baghutia after janaja prayer at his locality.
Nizamuddin Ahmed worked for different dailies and weeklies for several decades. He was a senior most journalist in Abhaynagar upazila.
