Journalist Mostafa Kamal Pasha laid to eternal rest

Elderly journalist Mostafa Kamal Pasha was laid to eternal rest at his native village Dhaloi under Hathazari upazila family graveyard of the district this afternoon.
Mostafa Kamal Pasha, a permanent member of Chattogram Union of Journalists (CUJ), died of various health complexities at the age of 68 at a private hospital in city at 10 am today.
His body was taken to CPC premises this afternoon where journalists of all strata particularly, members of CPC and CUJ paid homage to him by placing wreath at his coffin.
Earlier, his first Namaj-e-Janaza was held in front of Kazir Deuri Mosque 2 pm, second one at CPC premises at 3 pm and third one at Dholoi high school premises under Hathazari after 5pm.
He left behind a son, three daughters, professional colleagues, host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.
Mostafa Kamal Pasha was born in 1952 at Mir Bari in Dhaloi Union. He was an active member of the six-point movement led by Bangabandhu, the mass uprising of 1969 and the war of liberation. He started his career in the daily Azadi in February 1982.
He was the writer of different books including Thekana Lashkata Ghar (Adults), Bhoi Nei Amra Achi (Children), novels -Nil Bisher Choa, Chandrima and Urukku Phokamokar.
Mohammad Ali and M Shamsul Islam President and General Secretary respectively of CUJ in a statement expressed deep shock at the death Mostafa Kamal Pasha and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
In their condolence message, they paid homage to the deceased and recalled his career at the daily Azadi.
They also conveyed sympathy to the members of the bereaved family and prayed eternal peace of the departed soul.
