Senior Reporter of the Daily Observer Mamunur Rashid was injured after a private car hit his motorbike in the capital’s Karwan Bazar area on Sunday.
He was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for treatment in the afternoon.
Eyewitnesses said Mamunur Rashid was going to his newspaper office riding motorbike. When he reached near the underpass of Karwan Bazar area a unknown black colour private car hit his motorbike. He received serious injuries in his hands and legs. Later the pedestrians rescued him and sent to DMCH.
The on-duty police also recovered his motorbike from the spot.
Tejgaon Police Station OC Mazharul Islam told The New Nation that on information the police rushed to the spot. “Now we are looking into the matter,” he said.
