Manarat International University (MIU) has opened journalism and media studies department with a four-year Bachelor Degree program.
Prof Dr M. Zahangir Kabir has joined the Department as its Head.
Prof Zahangir Kabir was the founder chairman of mass communication and journalism dept at Rajshahi University (RU) and professor of journalism and media studies in other SAARC countries’ universities, including chairman of media studies department at Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Pakistan.
He also served as directors of SAARC Agricultural Information Center and SAARC Human Resource Development Center.
Eminent teachers are taking the classes here as well as the regular teachers. The opportunities are available in this institution to study in ‘Journalism and Media Studies’ course at a low-cost. Also the scholarship opportunities are available for every semester.
