Joint forces have been deployed in the port city from Thursday evening.
Chittagong Metropolitan Police sources said BGB, RAB, Coast Guard, Police forces and district administration jointly launched the drive against the miscreants and violances in the city. CMP is coordinating the joint forces.
Deputy Police commissioner of DB Kusum Dewan told that joint forces deployed in city from CRB area and Anderkilla area on Friday afternoon.
Sources said following the directives of Home Ministry, joint forces have been deployed simultaneously inDhaka and chittagong and the forces will Kotwali thana officer incharge told that during the drive of joint forces, 4 persons held with 62 liters wine and 4 held for driving the motorbike without valid license.
