Country’s first bicycle sharing service Jobike on Sunday launched ‘test run’ at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) in Sylhet.
The students of the university from now can avail the mobile application-based intra-campus bicycle service from 8 am to 12am midnight, a press release said.
Jobike is a mobile application which enables users to find bicycles for use on a temporary basis. After downloading the application, users will have to open an account and then they can easily unlock the bicycles by scanning the QR code.
SUST Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Farid Uddin Ahmed inaugurated the service at a function in front of Education Building-E in the campus on Sunday morning. SUST Proctor Prof Zahir Uddin Ahmed, Prof Anwarul Islam and Prof Manzoor Rashid were also present on the occasion.
