A private university student was alleyedly raped in the city’s Shyamoly area when she went there to seek a job in a private health organisation on Wednesday.
Police arrested one Fahim Ahmed Foyez, 30, in connection with the incident.
The victim filed a case on Wednesday night against two persons with Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station under Women
and Children Repression Prevention Act.
The woman claimed that she was called to the office in Shyamoli area for a job interview. As she went there alone, some people made her unconscious with sedative and violated her.
Touhidul Islam, Sub-Inspector of Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station confirmed the matter and said that the victim was sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Hospital for medical test.
