A two days long job fair titled “2nd City Bank-RUCC Job Fair 2014” held at Rajshahi University (RU) campus amid festivity and great response from the students.
Rajshahi University Carrier Club (RUCC) and City Bank jointly organized the fair while a huge number of students expressed their positive view for such type of programme.
RU vice chancellor Prof Muhammad Mizanuddin inaugurated the fair at Old Folklore Chattar on campus.
Addressing the programme, RU VC Prof Mizanuddin welcomed the participant companies and institutions for offering jobs for Rajshahi University students.
A total of 20 companies and institutions were set up stalls on the fair while more than students submitted 350 Curriculum Vitae (CV) in their preferable companies and institutions.
The authorities of those institutions would select for their respective job among candidates following their qualification after scrutinizing their CV and through taking viva voce.
A total of 15 career based seminar were organized in Dean’s Complex and Kazi Nazrul Islam auditorium of the university in two days.
Some reputed corporate personalities of different multinational companies addressed in the seminar as a resource persons.
Welcoming the participant companies and institutions for offering jobs for the RU students Prof Mizanuddin said that though the students of RU are so much meritorious but they have got very little bit scope to do better for the geographical distance from the Capital.
