Denouncing the assaults on teachers of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) reportedly by the leaders and activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), Jagannath University Teachers Association (JnUTA) described it as a shameful and regrettable incident.
JnUTA protested and condemned the incidents through a press release on Monday signed by its general secretary Prof Dr Abul Hossain.
They also demanded stern action against the guilty ones immediately.
However, seven teachers of SUST were assaulted allegedly by BCL men of the University Unit on last Sunday in front of the vice chancellor’s office.
