JnU second campus inaugurated

The authority of Jagannath University (JnU) inaugurated its second campus at South Keranigonj of Dhaka in front of the newly constructed Dhaka central Jail on Monday.
A total three and half acres of land has been bought by the university authority at Bagoire village of Keraniganj at a cost of around Tk 30 crore. Two residential dormitories and a 20-storied academic building will be constructed here soon.
For this reason, a discussion and doa mahfill was held to mark the inauguration of its second academic campus, where State Minister of Power and Energy Nasrul Hamid (MP) attended as a chief guest while JnU Treasurer Professor Selim Bhuiyan was present as a special guest.
JnU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Mizanoor Rahman presided over the programme.
Besides, JnU Teachers Association (JnUTA) President Professor Dr Ali Noor, General Secretary Professor Dr Abul Hossain, Keranigonj Upazilla Chairman Shahin Ahmed, JnU unit BCL President Shoriful Islam, and General Secretary Shirajul Islam were also present among others. On stating, Jagannath University (JnU) was set up on October 20, 2005 under an act passed by the national parliament.
